What is Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)?

1. Pre-Treatment Systems

2. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems

Concentrates wastewater and recovers up to 70–80% reusable water, minimizing load on downstream evaporators.

3. Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE)

Further concentrates RO reject using multi-stage evaporation and waste heat recovery, reducing energy consumption.

4. Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR)

Enhances evaporation efficiency by reusing the vapor energy, reducing operational costs.

5. Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD) / Crystallizer

Converts concentrated brine into dry salt crystals, achieving zero liquid discharge.

6. Condensate Polishing Unit (CPU)
